#17. Life Drawing

There was a nervy energy as we all settled into the life drawing class above a hipster bar in Chelsea. Maybe that’s why some of the others were gulping from goblets of burgundy wine.

I was self-conscious as I picked at the pencils and crayons, hoping no one would notice I had no idea what I was doing. I was also anxious to see what kind of model it would be. I didn’t even know if it would be a man or a woman. As the saying goes, life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. Though in this case, the box is a box of those hen party chocolates, all nobs and fannies.
